Is Forced Decision Always Wrong??

After watching 3-Idiots, people are thinking that forced decisions are wrong. Parents should not force son or daughter to study something that they do not want. But my question "Do they take wrong decision ?" "Ever anyone tried to know what they are forcing you to do so?? We just blame them"But I do not think so.... Because in my case it is different. I wanted to to do something else but My father told me (never forced) to do B. tech and I remember on the admission day at the council hall also he asked whether I want to do engineering or not. He asked "If you do not want to do B.tech, we can go now also". If I would have said yes, then that would have been the worst decision in my life. Today I proudly say, I am an engineer. But Am I doing justice to my learning, my lectures who took pain to teach us by joining a non-electronics company* (I am an electronics engineer).

Here my question is anyone have ever blamed himself/herself for taking wrong decision?? we blame others even to our parents also. But they always think good about us. So they take decision for us because they know us more than ourselves (We assume that we know ourselves very well). They can't be wrong. My last word is "Trust them", "Trust their decisions" & "Respect their decisions"

*Non-electronics company means all those companies who are not related to engineering. A software company is related company to electronics company as hardware can't work without software.
